Stained Glass Mosaic.

After designing the front and back covers of the Faithful CD (by Jennifer K. Eckhart and Stained Glass Road), I was asked to do a live painting at the release party. The original idea was to paint the back cover on canvas during the title song, Faithful (extended to 6:30 minutes to give me more time), in front of the audience-very doable. This led to the suggestion it be painted on an old window (“Okaaayyy…”) to “What if I use stained glass instead of paint (which looks terrible on glass and streaks)-kind of impossible?” Of course, not to God. And finally, due to COVID, the venue large enough to seat everyone turned into a smaller venue that would require TWO release parties and thus TWO stained glass mosaics!

Who knew that a craft gathering at Ft. Leavenworth KS with fellow Army wives, learning to resin windows and lay stained glass down, would turn into a work of art in front of 350 people?

Shout out to Tony Nichols (Kickin’ Glass Kansas, LLC on Facebook), veteran and glass artist, who showed our group how to do this.

One window went to Jennifer K. Eckhart and the other to the family who made the lightbox for the event.

They both reside in Northeastern PA.
